Sevilla
Open De Espaņa de Golf (Spanish Golf Open)
Part of the official European Tour, this tournament is the second-oldest in Europe, after those of Britain and France. It takes place at the Real Club de Golf de Sevilla, in Alcala de Guadaira.
10-11 May
Casares, Malaga
Raid Hipico Espiritu del Viento (Equestrian Endurance Spirit of the Wind)
This endurance horse race (raid in Spanish) takes place on 11 May, with a show of equestrian fashion (for the riders, not the horses) and a talk on the sport of endurance riding, which will take place in the Casa de Blas Infante, the day before.
The endurance event will consist of three tests, 20km, 40km and 80km, depending on the level.
