The Serenaders of Nerja
Amateur group of singers from all over Europe,
the States and other countries, was formed at the end of 1994
and some eight weeks after
gave their first public performance at the Hotel Monica. The choral
group directed by American singers and musicians Bernie Barr
and
Jan Meyel rehearse twice weekly during their October to May season
on Monday and Friday in the Centro Cultural, Villa de Nerja,
in
calle Granada at 11.00. New members are welcome to join this 40
voice choir which has become an important part of the local
cultural
scene giving several concerts during the course of the year, whilst
providing an artistic outlet to retirees from other lands living
