If conventional piercing - ears, that is - is what you are after, then visit your local Chemist for reliable and hygienic treatment. If the chemist nearest you doesn't perform this operation, he or she will be able to direct you to one specialising in this service.

Tattoos and more exotic piercing is also readily available in Andalucia, but especially in coastal areas. However, it is best to go to an establishment first and have a look around before phoning to book an appointment. It is also wise to check hygiene standards to be sure they are in line with those required by the Spanish government.

Prices for piercing start from 10 euros and go up to 30 euros depending on what you want pierced. For example it would generally cost around 18 euros to get your belly button pierced (2003 prices).
