El Rubio is positioned between Estepa and Ecija. In the Roman era, there was a road connecting the towns that was also used to monitor traffic. Many Roman remains have been found around this area including graves, remains of villas and the foundations of buildings.
El Rubio is located around 100km from Seville City. To get there from the capital you take the A-92 (direction Osuna), and then once you’ve passed the said town on the SE-726, you will have arrived at El Rubio.
