One of Seville’s most important carnivals is celebrated in this town. One, for example, is the special entierro de la sardina (burying of the sardine), which is a pilgrimage towards the Cruz Sierra. It is a tradition in this town to celebrate this because of its Christian roots, which have been confirmed thanks to the findings of archaeological remains.
