Estepona the following events take place on an ongoing basis.
Every Sunday ANCRAA (National Association of Breeders of the Andaluz Donkey) hold an Sunday Open Day at their Centre in Estepona, 2 kms inland from Coto La Serena Golf Club between 11 and 14 so that people can visit these friendly creatures. The Association was formed to save this special breed in danger of extinction, as recognised by the Spanish Ministry. As part of the fund raising campaign calendars, T. shirts, notebooks and cards are available as is a sponsorship scheme. More information from www.acraa.org.
Every Sunday (during the summer). Live Jazz at the 5 star de luxe Hotel Kempinski at Ctra de Cadiz where the New Orleans Jump Jazz Band provide the music at the Sunday Jazz Brunches from 13.00 to 16.00. As well as the great music and food there is a nursery service to take care of the kids. Children under 5 also eat for free. More information on 952 809 500.
Every Sunday (during the summer). Equestrian shows at the Finca Siesta (near Selwo). The Evening “Magic Show” by well known German horsemen Herbert Stein and Oliver Jubin and their magnificent Andalucian horses is a display of high school dressage and a choreographed show of horses, dancers, ponies and camels. Every Sunday. ADANA, the local animal rescue association now have a Rastro in the Sabinillas market from 10 to 14 where they sell second hand and new items.
Every Monday to Saturday. ADANA have a shop in calle Camino del Padre Cura no 14 near the Avenida Juan Carlos phone 952 80 69 92 is open from 10.30 to 13.30. Apart from the bargains on sale, the volunteers are also delighted to accept items for sale. For more information phone 952 806 992.
Every Thursday . Weekly guided tours of the old part of the town. The 1 ½ hour tour leaves the tourist office in Avenida San Lorenzo at 10am and includes visits to the historic sites such as the Plaza de las Flores, the San Luis Castle, the old town hall and the Plaza del Reloj. Every Thursday to Saturday . Flamenco dancing and singing show in the Restaurant Bona Dea, Urb. Monte Biaritz. For reservations and more information phone 952 880 435.
Every Friday . Lunchtime Fashion shows with the latest from the catwalks at the Kempinsky Resort Hotel at the Ctra Cadiz at 13.00. More information on 952 809 500.
Every Friday and Saturday (during the summer). Live Flamenco show combines with a buffet in El Mirado, the main restaurant of the Kempinski Restor Hotel, Ctra de Cadiz. For reservations and more information call 952 809 500.
Every Saturday. “La Polonesa” meets every Saturday at 18.00 at the Bar Reinaldo in Estepona Port. Polish residents on the coast are welcome and for more information call Alexandra on 605 909 673.
The International Club of Estepona (ICE ) whose clubhouse is in Bahia Dorada, (5 kms west from Estepona on the N.340 entrada 4 and 5) there are the following weekly activities:………..
Every Sunday. Coffee morning from 12 to 14 at the clubhouse and Petanque at Crystal Beah at 10.30 (contact Dani on 952 803 264).
Every Monday. Spanish classes from 10 to 13, a coffee morning from 11 o 14 and Chicago Bridge at 20.
Every Tuesday. The Rambling Club meets at 10 and there is Whist drive at 19.30.
Every Wednesday. Coffee mornings from 11.00 to 14.00 at the Clubhouse and Duñlicate Bridge eening from 19. (contact Eric on 952 885 798).
Every Thursday. Art classes with John Wright from 10 to 14
Every Sunday. The Clubhouse and bar are open from 11.00 to 14.00.
On the 1 st Friday evening of every month there is a Bingo evening and on the 2 nd Friday evening of every month there is a Quiz night.
