Calle Ancha Cadiz

Calle Ancha, Cadiz

The main street known as, Calle Ancha, has been the heart of the city since the eighteenth century and during the Cortes de Cádiz period in 1812, it was transformed into the convent for holding the sessions, as Benito Pérez Galdós narrates in his work. Its spaciousness makes it easy to appreciate the harmony of the urban environment.

Calle Ancha is full of noble buildings and stately homes with portals that hide spectacular entrances. You can photograph several and then create a collage-like composition. Many of the entrances are tiled and the glare can deceive the camera, if necessary overexpose slightly.
