What’s it like?
This medium-sized guest house is located across the road from the Mezquita, on its southern side. A few minutes’ walk away is the Puente Romano (Roman Bridge) which crosses the river Guadalquivir. The hostal’s name comes from the Puerta del Puente (Bridge Gate), also known as the Arc de Triomphe.
Behind the attractive traditional white-and-yellow façade, with its iron grilles, there are 56 compact rooms, all non-smoking – you can chose from single, twin, double, triple, quadruple or junior suite. Décor is classic with curved metal bedheads and tiled floors, and each room has its own bath or shower.
The guest house offers free WIFI in all areas, and its restaurant, which has an outdoor the patio, serves traditional Andalucian food; there is also a bar. It has a cashpoint and a car park.
How to get there
Located on Calle Corregidor Luis de la Cerda, the street which runs along the southern wall of the Mezquita. Leave the A4/E5, head towards the city centre, cross the Puente de San Rafael, then follow signs to the Mezquita.
