Chris Chaplow - Managing Director

Chris Chaplow was awarded an honours degree in Civil Engineering at King's College, London and worked in management on a number of major construction projects before moving to Spain in 1991. An early internet adopter in 1993, launching Spain's first online image bank leading to founding Andalucia,com in 1996

Michelle Chaplow - Director

Michelle Chaplow has lived and worked in Andalucia in Southern Spain for over 20 years as a freelance photographer specialising in travel and tourism having studied photography at Seville University. Her work has appeared in magazines, books and newspapers all over Europe, Australia, the United States of America and even China. In 1996 she was awarded a prestigious state contract by Turespaña, the Spanish Tourist Board. In 2001 she received an honorary mention for her continuous work in the field of photography in promoting Spanish tourism and the Ortiz Echagüe prize given by the Spanish Ministry of Tourism and Commerce.

Minoo Gazdar - Director

A successful businessman who established himself in Marbella in 1986. His current business provides a wide variety of office services, including graphic design and printing. Minoo has launched numerous successful projects in sales and Marketing.

Christopher Wawn - Director

Christopher Wawn was appointed Director of Andalucia.com in 2000 having been associated with the company since 1997.  During this period Chris has led on many projects, such as the Pueblo Guide and Financial Services Section.  His knowledge of Andalucia has been of great assistance to the site's content pages and he has contributed many articles based on his series of books, 'In Search of Andalucia'.  In addition, Chris is a Chartered Manager and has assisted the Board and Company Secretary and been involved in setting many of the annual Budgets.

Chris Mason - Director

A graduate of Kings College London. Chris is a computer programmer based in Kingston upon Thames, London. Together with Chris Chaplow, they established their first internet venture in 1995 and inaugurated Andalucia.com the following year. Chris brings valuable computing and business skills to the company as a founding director.

Fiona Flores Watson - Contributing Editor

Fiona Flores Watson has lived in Spain for 20 years, and has been a journalist since completing a post-graduate journalism course at City University in London. As well as her blog and other features for Andalucia.com, Fiona writes freelance articles for newspapers, magazines and websites including the Telegraph, Independent, the Sunday Times, and Food & Travel; she also wrote part of the Lonely Planet guide, Experience Andalucia, and has translated a book on sherry, The Book of Sherry Wines.

Sarah Gatward Wicks - Graphic designer

"I am a newer recruit to the team at Andalucia.com, but even so, I have already learned that the amount of information that is added to the site on a daily basis is incredible - more just keeps appearing! I cannot wait to get new designs up and running as this site has so much to offer, I learn something new every day! It's very exciting to be part of a project that has been active for so long and is just getting better and better!"

Saskia Mier - Writer

Saskia is a Spanish national and was educated in the UK. She had always longed to return to Spain and once graduating from University in 2011 with a degree in Equine Sciences, came back to Andalucia to pursue her passion of horses.

Alex Cutts - Writer

Alex began writing for Andalucia.com in November 2021. She graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2020 with a first class honours degree in Journalism. Her particular interests within writing are food, travel and music.

Sam Pulman-Slater - Writer

Sam joined the editorial team in June 2018. Originally from Wales, he graduated from the University of Cambridge with a 1st Class Hons degree in English Literature. He has a particular interest in historic buildings, heritage sites, and cultural traditions, and enjoys using the writing skills garnered during his studies to produce copy on these subjects.
