Travelling to and on Costa del Sol
The main gateway to the Costa del Sol is Malaga - Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) located 5 km west of Malaga city centre. The A-7 coast road, and the AP-7 toll motorway are the principal means of communication between the airport and the resort towns of the Costa del Sol.
Malaga Maria Zambrano Railway station located in Malaga city centre provides high speed train services from Madrid and Barcelona. Gibraltar airport (GIB) is located 100km west of Malaga and provides a second gateway to the western part of the Costa del Sol.
The Costa del Sol has a motorway connection inland; the A-45 from Malaga to Antequera provides an essential link to the A-92 Seville-Granada motorway and north to Madrid. The scenic A-376 road from San Pedro de Alcantara winds up to the historic town of Ronda.
