AFTER SCHOOL EDUCATION
Many state schools offer after-school activities such as sports - rollerblading, roller-hockey, athetics, basketball; English; computing; arts and crafts.
Most towns have a public polideportivo (sports centre) which offers classes in a number of sports, from swimming (summer, and winter if covered), padel and tennis, to karate, football and basketball.
You can also find public music and dance centres, Aula de Musica y Danza, offering classes in music theory, playing instruments, music and movement for smaller children, flamenco and ballet dance classes.
From seven years children can attend the Conservatorio, free music and dance classes at a high standard. They must take a test to be seleted for the Conservatorio.
Stagecoach Theatre School
Theatre arts school have centres in Fuengirola, Marbella and Gibraltar offering fun and exciting classes in Drama, Dance and Singing to children aged 6 -16 with special classes for children aged 4 - 6. All classes are lead by enthusiastic
qualified teachers and take place outside normal school hours.
Now in its fifth sucessful year on the Costa del Sol, Stagecoach teaches the skills they need to act, sing and dance so that before long they can express themselves more easily and become more poised, confident and self-assured.
