Walks

A challenging walk leaves from the recreation area Los Quejigales up to Puerta de los Pilones (the large antenna) and from there up to summit of Torrecillo or along the ridge to Cerro Alto and Peñon de los Enamerados and then dropping down to 'Viewpoint of Luis Ceballos' (324.480E 4064.560N) or Puerta Saucillo (324.490E 4065.830N). See the Yunquera access route.

Sendero la Caina is a circular walk of 4.5km. It starts and finishes at the Viewpoint of Luis Ceballos (324.480E 4064.560N). See the Yunquera access route.

Sendero Puerto Bellina is 4.5km walk that starts and finishes from the Puerta Saucillo (324.490E 4065.830N). See the Yunquera access route.

Sendero de la Escalerta is an interesting walk, starting from a point (317.930E 4060.080N) near the San Pedro Ronda access road. The walk is only 1km long each way. It starts with a steep descent through the forest and along to a spur with a commanding viewpoint of the upper reaches of the Rio Verde.

Alto de la Cuesta is a 4km circular route walk located near the entrance to the park from Tolox. (See the suggested routes). 1.6km after the hotel Cerro de Hijar there is a sign indicating a 4km circular walk, which drops down into the valley or the River Caballos, and then back up again.
