ESTEPONA MURALs - La Poda de la Buganvilla

By Marianne Hill

'La Poda de la Buganvilla' (Pruning the Bougainvillea) is the fourth mural by Jose Fernandez Rios. The mural measures 300m2 and it is the biggest vertical murals in Spain. It was inaugurated in April 2015.

Once again J.F. Rios has created a hyperrealistic design that plays tricks on your eyes. It features a very lifelike portrayal of a gardener caring for the bougainvillea, so lifelike in fact that it appears as if the gardener is real. It took two weeks to create and on completion the mural was presented to the children who attend the school on whose walls it is painted. The building is located in the playground of Victor de la Serna school on Avenida Lorenzo.

We invite you to comment on the mural via facebook in the box below, or send us you own photo to add to this page.
