In the Highlands of Scotland, we used to have no overnight parking signs everywhere, large laybys and other convenient places to stop. A foreigner challenged the byelaw and what do you know No Overnight Parking signs were taken down.

You must go to the Douglas Day fiesta. The ruined castle has a lovely museum dedicated to Douglas Christians and Moors story and there is a plinth in the village centre. It is an inland Pueblo Blanco similar to many others in Inland Andalusia, pretty and friendly with great views and amenities.
