Re: Car Hire- Malaga or Gibraltar Airports

Than you Pensure1988. Been in contact. My sister and I are coming over for a week at New Year. We have booked a Corsa automatic for £170. £140 plus £30 fuel. I use my own annual excess insurance. We pay when we get the car.

Agree their is no prices or booking form. I have emailed them re this. I await their reply. Would be great if it was legit.
I have found Helle Hollis to be honest but a bit expensive. They do have a holiday home owners club where you can get some discount though

Re: Manuel Chaves - Guilty

I take it there are more trials from the other divisions of this still to come. Does any of the corruption money ever get recovered? Yes, I agree the crimes were worse than the Catalans and they deserved higher sentences and should have been banned from public office for life.

Re: interesting neighbourhoods in Malaga city area and beyond

Elusive. i agree Goldcar at airports and plenty other hire companies at airports are really bad. Had lots of bad experiences. That's why didn't hire at airport those times. Too much hassle. but we wanted to make a couple of trips and the downtown office was a completely different experience.

Re: interesting neighbourhoods in Malaga city area and beyond

El Chorro (Caminito del Rei). There is a train station there but you would need to check train times. Ronda is lovely and worth a visit. Buses go from Malaga I think. Antequera. There are plenty of museums and galleries in the region. Malaga has a big tourist info office. Twice when I have been in M...

I enjoyed Pedrogalejo, very quaint seaside resort. But we found it quite expensive down by the beach and at restaurants.

Re: Credit card fees for car hire

There are various group complaints which our Trading Standards are investigating about a lot of issues re car hiring in Spain. See if you can tag onto their stuff. Also Which? would like to hear these stories. It is out of order and Spain appears to have the most rip-offs acording to thse consumer o...

Re: Credit card fees for car hire

Malagacar lets you use Debit Card or cash. They blocked 1300euros on mine last week, which I was not aware was going to happen. Didn't read small print obviously. They put it back in my bank a couple of days after I returned the car. It still has not come through to my account and is pending for two...

Er, just to let you know. I bottled it. Drove to Osuna. Got the train to Santa Justa. Spent some nice time in the city. When I went to get my train back to Osuna, my son got the airport bus outside the train station. Stress free

Driving from Pruna to Seville airport

Another time we ended up going through the city, which was quite hairy. That was me as a passenger. anybody know an easy way? Also if we d...

Re: Spanish residents getting married in UK

There are many institutions that couples inform once they are married eg, insurance companies for car, travel, home etc. Social Security and tax offices. Pension companies and many more. Most only need to be informed after you have tied the knot. Check with .gov.uk and CAB in UK. Sorry, I do not kno...
