Re: Avatel broadband & TV.

The only thing you would need to supply would be an HDMi cable if needed. Probably not true.I have Avatel. My router sends the internet tv to the tv set down a coax to the aerial socket.I had to rearrange my installation because they wanted to install the router next to the socket where the fibre e...

Re: Cartama? Alora?

Agree with the tourist comment. It is much worse in certain areas. We have to put up with it for July, August and the 1st 2 weeks of September. After that it is bliss in our coastal village.

Re: Cartama? Alora?

Alora was on a place in the sun last night. I have been there a few times, nice enough but I would not want to live there. El Choro is lovely but as we are coast people and it is only 30 minutes I would rather visit and then head home to the coast. East of malaga is much cheaper than the western cos...

Re: Pueblos Blancos Churches and Towers

A classic case Gordon is malaga cathedral which was constructed over a period of 250 years. Started off on the site of a mosque. I guess they used some of those materials.

There are a quite a few small churches which are whitewashed in villages east of Malaga that I have noticed.

If you or anyone else knows where the owner is why hasnt he been approached about renting the property from him. He is getting nothing at the moment so may be really reasonable about renting it to the squatting friend of the president.

If you want to see big bats go to Fuengirola zoo. They have fruit bats with a 4 foot wing span. Scary things.

Re: Bats

Not sure if they are as protected in Spain as the uk but I can tell you they will multiply and become a right nuisance. Our neighbour in the uk had them in his roof void on his house and within 5 years there was over 2000 in there. They always leave a few in the colony when they migrate and return e...

They are in Estepona. Apparently he needs to sell 30 cars per month. I think that’s a tall order for someone supplying the Brit market.

If you fancy a drive out to Torrox Park just along the coast from you there are lots of brits in that area. Also TDM has a few brit bars. Just a thought but it may be a starting point.

Re: New Indian Torre del Mar

Here we go again, this is the best Indian, no this is the best Indian, yada yada yada. Everybody to their own. Personally I thought Taj in Torre was really poor, bland, tasteless and I could barely tell dishes apart. My opinion and I don't have to justify it. On the other hand I think some of the d...

Re: New Indian Torre del Mar

It is very difficult to get a good Indian in Spain. I have found 2 in the past that were better than average but both east Marbella way. One in La Cala de Mijas village and one near Da Bruno at Cabopino. All others have been very ordinary. Would like to find one in Malaga city.
