Re: Track shown on catastro

It may be a solution, but it would be down to our lawyer to say yay or nay (when he's back from his hols, whenever that is ;-) ).

Re: Track shown on catastro

Gasman - there isn't actually a track at all !! When you look on the aerial view on Google, you can see quite clearly where the actual tracks run - I have sent a copy to the purchasers solicitor via the circuitous route mentioned earlier - god knows when it will finally reach them ! It's probably to...

Re: Track shown on catastro

Yes, I was surprised too - I would have thought they would get a mortgage on their UK property (like what we did ;-) )
Edit: I don't think there is any chance of speaking to them - I'd probably end up on the naughty step (or worse) if I interfered.....

Avast Browser

This popped up this morning, and it seemed to be OK, so I downloaded it. It's not bad, but there doesn't seem to be a toolbar, and so I can't bookmark any pages, or get the latest tab to open at the front. I've tried searching for it (not googling, as it has defaulted to Yahoo, tho I think I can cha...

Re: Track shown on catastro

I'm not in contact with the buyers - I get my info via the agent & then via my stepdaughter, which is not ideal ! It's not a bad idea, tho' I don't know if there's a reason they can't/won't try for a Spanish mortgage - maybe they don't speak Spanish & feel it would be too difficult.... ;-) I...

Track shown on catastro

Our casa sale has just fallen through  . Our potential buyers were getting a mortgage from a UK bank, and apparently they (the bank) are not happy about the set-up of land as shown on the catastro records, and have refused the application The land is shown as 2 parcelas, divided by a trac...

Re: Land registry + legality + mortgages

I think you will need to speak to the local Town Hall/Ayuntamiento - they will be able to tell you if it will be a problem. Our casa (in the campo) was about 60 or 70 years old & wasn't registered, however as the Town Hall was familiar with the property, it all went smoothly. Others may have a d...

I think they probably do - even non-residents have local expenses such as electricity, IBI etc

Re: Balay

I think it varies depending on proximity to town centre, rail links etc.

Perhaps we ought to continue on a separate thread ? ;-) - or get El Cid to move us to the Lounge ?
