Re: Passport control queues

My apologies wembason420, it was two seperate journalists. I find their site so hard to read as it is so overloaded with pics, headlines, ads etc, plus as our internet is so slow, the site then has to keep reloading. Fingers crossed that a bit of common sense now seems to be being applied by the Spa...

Re: Passport control queues

Daily Mail 'journalism' Fascinating item that. The journalist states (in the same item) the following: 'Meanwhile at Malaga, families said bored-looking officers did not examine their passports.' 'Today long queues were seen at Malaga Airport, with long lines of holidaymakers waiting to check in ahe...

Re: Passport control queues

Wollie

The Aena websit recommends 3hrs for flights to a non-Shengen country and 2hrs for a Schengen country.
Good luck.

Re: Passport control queues

Wollie, Malaga airport advice is to arrive three hours before departure time if you are travelling to a non Shengen area (like the UK).

Good feedback.

Weescottie, if you can find time to update on your departure from Malaga tomorrow, that would be appreciated.

Re: Energy costs

That's amazing Wicksey, a real good price and a great deal. I think you are right about ovens. I have always thought ours uses a lot of power - and it's one of those stupid ones that still keeps for fan going forever after you have turned the whole lot off. How that be energy efficient is beyond me....

Re: Energy costs

Flexo

Have to admit that we don't have both AC units on all day, but certainly late afternoon/early evening.
Big problem here is in the winter. We have gas CH but it sure gets eaten up quickly. As you say, these Spanish houses have really poor insulation.

Re: Energy costs

Gerry and Wicksey Thanks for the feedback. It does make me feel better. I was getting concerned that we were paying over the top. Have to say though, that up to now, the service we have had from Endesa has been very good. Using their new App and it provides all of the info you need. Gerry: Are you s...

Re: Energy costs

On the subject of Energy Costs. Have just had an email from Endesa saying we are using 20% more power than a year ago - which makes sense as we are here more than last year. They also say that we are likely to be paying about €124 for our next two monthly bill. They also note that we have used 27KWh...

Re: Stop engine oil leak

John, you are being offered a lot of very different information here. Beware. Did the oil leak happen before the oil and filter change? If not, the most likely sources for a leak are: Sump plug not correctly fitted - some of these, but not all have a renewable washer that is either copper based or s...

Re: Tying up dogs/cruelty

Gasman, very useful information regarding the Guadia and their Seprona department. This guard dog business is a mystery to us for the same reasons you state. The dog is on such a short rope that anyone could come in and ransack the place and owners and neighbours would be none the wiser. The dog is ...

Re: Tying up dogs/cruelty

I am not a fanatic about dogs, cats or any other animals, but I do find it disturbing when I see any animals tied up in cramped conditions. In this case this family have the dog tied up permenantly, day and night on a rope no longer than a few metres with a kennel that would barely accomodate a cat....
