I want to change from my usual car hire company

The hire company I'm talking about have added a few comments to the TA thread.

The latest one states that they will now inspect the car on pickup with the hirer. Photos are taken and emailed to the client. Everything is documented and agreed.

I have a sneaking suspicion that on return, if you haven't taken out their insurance, they will somehow find a minuscule chip and charge you.

They managed to find a scratch on the roof of one persons car.

Don't know why he's shy of naming and shaming.
TA is probably TripAdvisor and there's volumes of complaints on there about Goldcar.
Are we talking about Goldcar?

Hi guys and girls

The reason I haven't named the company I'm talking about is that I'm unsure what the legal position is when one starts slagging off companies on public forums. I.e. Are you letting your self in for agro.

The TA thread is the trip advisor forum for Andalucia or Malaga, not sure which.

Sorry I I'm acting like a big girls blouse, but I'm not as confident as I used to be.


Btw I've been requested to edit the title of the thread from "care hire" to "car hire" which I have done.

Legitimate criticism is fine,it's when you write stuff that's libellous and untrue that you have to watch out.
If all your experiences are fact then you're just sharing them.
If it is Goldcar we are talking about I doubt very much if they would have the temerity to go after anyone when all the adverse comments can be backed up.
