I must have been mistaken, but I could swear I had seen a Ryanair guy on the TV a short while ago, explaining how their new baggage policy was actually better for their customers. Just booked a June flight from Berlin to Malaga, and been charged 50 Euros for one hold bag !!!!

Re: Ryanair hold baggage
Their hold baggage rates have been reduced so what you saw was correct!
Re: Ryanair hold baggage
Not true where this customer is concerned. Same itinerary last year, I was charged 26 Euros.

Same time of year?
Re: Ryanair hold baggage
I travelled yesterday and the priority Q was twice as long as the non priority. I quickly did the maths and I think they made around £600 extra on bags alone. The good thing though was we left on time and there wasn’t as much chaos in the cabin. Not sure what would happen if everyone paid for a bag as it would be back to square one as far as cabin chaos. A good earner for the airline.
The prices have been reduced for hold baggage apart from peak travel times like easter and summer.

As far as I am aware, they are only accepting the first 90 bookings for Priority. After that the Priority option won't be available.
Re: Ryanair hold baggage
a lot more than 90 in the Q yesterday. 2 thirds of the plane were in priority.

Re: Ryanair hold baggage
Of course Ryanair won't turn away the extra money made on priority boarding even if the whole plane was full.
