Giraffe Franchise Malaga Airport Airside
The Franchise for Bar and Restaurant which used to be O'Learys, just past duty free, is now a Giraffe holding.
It is atrocious, avoid at all costs. Quite unbelievable. Bad service and poor food. Anybody else suffered?

I never usually buy anything at airports. I take through my water bottles to refill airside and take my own packed lunch! It's not just the money saving, I don't generally like the food on offer and prefer my own.

Thanks for heads up. I was going to use it Thursday afternoon but it was mobbed with a golfing party. I didn’t fancy the expected wait.country boy wrote:The Franchise for Bar and Restaurant which used to be O'Learys, just past duty free, is now a Giraffe holding.

You'd have to have some "neck" to eat there
Re: Giraffe Franchise Malaga Airport Airside
Why do people feel the need to scoff on a 3 hour flight.

Depends on the flight time & possible medical needs (e.g. diabetes)

Two hour journey to airport, security queue, wait to board, flight, half hour get luggage and hire car other end and two hour journey to destination?
Re: Giraffe Franchise Malaga Airport Airside
Exactly! Door to door is 6 hours for us and even on shorter flights we are often in the air around lunch time and I need to eat

Re: Giraffe Franchise Malaga Airport Airside
Katy, that was a very arrogant question.
Time spent at an Airport is only part, of what can entail, a whole days travel as others have pointed out.
What was your motive for asking the question I wonder?
The point I was making was that the Giraffe in Malaga Airport is best avoided, whether you just want a relaxing drink, or to "Scoff" as you so delicately put it.

I never eat at Malaga Airport, the food is not very nice and exorbitantly over priced. However, I would eat at or buy food from Gatwick for the return trip
Re: Giraffe Franchise Malaga Airport Airside
Country Boy. Not arrogant, a genuine question as I have often wondered when I see all the full restaurants at Gatwick (night or day) I accept the point about people with health conditions. I think all airport food is vile, some worse than others. If leaving from UK usually grab some M&S sandwiches. In February I had two prawn ones on a 10 hour flight, don't usually touch the airline food either. Flying back bought a pre packed Tuna salad bowl from a deli. As for Costa coffee etc. yuk.

Yes. Grandson said they had been in Brighton he said he had better and that I would have hated it. Perhaps they are rubbish everywhere.chrissiehope wrote:I see that Giraffe are struggling & are planning to close one third of their restaurants in UK !
