Not sure if you have one in your area but we have always found Media Market to be very good, good service, very good range of all electrical and white goods and all price points.

Go along the coast road from Torrox Costa, go through Torre del Mar and turn right towards Almayate, there is an electrodomestic shop second turn right.
The owner, a female, speaks good English and is very helpful and knowledgeable. It isn't a posh showroom or have a large stock but the prices are lower than elsewhere.
We bought a Bosch washing machine from her, ha a problem with it and she arranged for a Bosch service engineer to fix it.
He fixed it but said I would have to pay before he left. Went to see her and she immediately phoned him, my Spanish is good enough to know that she told him in no uncertain terms that it was under guarantee and to refund me the money.
Cheers

Yes, good deals, but they won't install it and take away the old one.

Yes that is what I want Sid, someone to install and take the old one away, unless I can get hold of a reliable plumper who install and take the old one away too, but a bit unlikely.

That probably means it will be someone local as although the machines may cost more, it would cost a fair amount to have the old one installed and taken away.

I fancy a Bosh I think they are a good make and Indesit. Anyone got any ideas on that or which make. Perhaps I should start a new thread  !!

I seebazarsanjuan is a member of Euronics.
I deliberately bought a fridge from a Euronics member in the UK because they were the only people who would rehang an integrated door on the new fridge and take the old unit away for free.
Hopefully the same would apply in spain?

That is interesting to know. I seems such a funny name for an electrical company.

Is that the official electricians site then!!

I think Euronics is to domestic appliance shops as ,say,Spar is to grocers,ie a buying organisation.
So Euronics would have huge buying power that the small independent shops who are their members do not have.

The shop in Almayate sells seconds from the factory. Work perfect but they all have some small damage or a scratch on casing.

It is very much a cash and carry type place.
I don't believe they deliver or fit the new machine and remove the old one.
Whenever I've been there all I have seen is people loading the new appliance into their car and driving away with it.
Cheers

Had a look in there Lyric, they had a lot of upright freezers on sale, fridges and fridges and freezes, worth going along there, there were at last 15 odd on display.

Had a look at the washing machines and they looked good for the money. Just going to look at a more shops before deciding. Thanks for all your information

I bought all my appliances online from http://www.clickelectrodomesticos.com/ They deliver anywhere in Spain and for a fee can install the new appliance and take away the old one. Their prices are very competitive. I looked in Worten and also in UK stores to identify the appliances I wanted and then bought them from Click.
