Problem Movistar line

Postby Dr1Gonzo » Sat Oct 13, 2018 3:06 pm

For a few months, we have been unable to get incoming telephone calls. I'm thinking something was damaged in the storms.
The phone rings but noone can hear us. We also cannot dial out so cannot ring 1004.
We tried from a mobile but noone speaks English so Movistar just hang up.
We went to the local office who won't help because they are only a reseller, no customer service facilities.
Any ideas how to get this fixed?
Second option, how can I cancel?

HI
You have to ring 1004 and when they answer in Spanish say "English please". If took us approximately 25 minutes this morning to get through to an english speaking person . Every time you hear a spanish voice just repeat "english please". It does work eventually.

As above, I cannot ring out.
The alternative number from other networks does not have English speakers it seems ( even if you ask in Spanish, they say no English speakers here.)

Another much easier way is to message them on Facebook or via Messenger. If you type in English they answer in English. Never a problem for me and they answer pretty quickly. They will need your details - this is what they sent me when I messaged them "May you please send us your data through private message (NIF/NIE/Passport and phone no.) so we can check it and help you? Thanks." They'll want the ID you used when you set up the account , here is the link https://www.facebook.com/movistar.es/ Hope that helps. If you phone from a different mobile you have to ring 699991004

Seems the way things are going these days. If they have a Facebook or Twitter account most companies are quick to respond. I'm not great at using twitter and seldom do but I contacted a bank once and got immediate response.
