not 'glorious weather' up here ...sunny days but cool howling wind ... and temps dropping low at night!

It won’t. There is a general heatwave warning out for Spain. We will get the least heat, but it’s going to be hot.

Don’t go to Madrid - or mid/north France. Oven temperatures of 45C forecast! Down here on the coast nothing unusual - maybe 36C?

The heatwave has finally arrived in the north. Today was unbelievably hot and more of the same expected tomorrow.

It is not too bad down her in Torrox. I have not got a fan on at the moment. The temperatures look dreadful for the North!

Almost exactly two years since we left Andalucia, and still one of the most FAQs we get is, "don't you miss the weather?" Guess what? Not one iota
Don't worry about what people think, they don't do it very often

Not even sitting in the sun enjoying the warmth in the middle of winter? I wont mention what it feels like when the sun goes down though!

Did you leave under a cloud if you pardon the pun? I can’t see how you couldn’t miss certain parts of the weather even if its the bright winter days. The summer is not for everyone

The summers not nice. Already i look forward to the end of it. Or get excited when we have a cloudy day. People in the uk think im crazy. But its not like been on hol when you crave the sun and want to sunbath to show off a tan when you get home! The novelty wears off pretty quick when its 30 degrees everyday for three months

But the winter weather still amazes me. Ok yes its cold once the sun goes down and our houses is freezing in areas but sitting in a beach side cafe in november sat in the sun.hardly a tourist in sight! I have to say to myself this is november,december.... when you think of all the ice and snow and freezing temps in the U.K at that time of year...

I asked somebody what the official temperature was for yesterday and they informed me it was 39 point something. I live about 12 Kms from the centre of Bilbao near the coast and I don't think it got that high but that's not to say it wasn't really hot. It was a pity because I was in Bilbao to have a repair done on my phone and saw the 44c just after I left the shop so I couldn't take a photo.

The sudden increase then decrease in temperature was also pretty spectacular as well especially in the afternoon because it dropped 20 c in just under an hour between 7-8

That was really why i asked as i have found from driving around there can be huge variation in temp.
I often look at the temp the day before i travel and find a different temp than i expect on arrival.
I do know there can be big variations between coast and inland but also think there may also be other factors.

Although 30 degrees here it feels cooler at night with the windows open as I think it hasn't yet had a chance for the heat to really build up. August is worse as the land is really hot by then and there never seems to be any respite. We don't sit outside and are not sunbathers but it is the days of sunshine and brightness of the skies in the months form October to March we really love and appreciate. We endue the few months of summer!
