agent to receive shipment at Malaga port

Postby qe2ex » Tue Sep 03, 2019 9:27 pm

I'm trying to find an agent/custom broker that can receive/clear a private shipment (house hold item) at Malaga port.

Does anyone have any recommendation?

Thanks.

Are you sending stuff from Uk via airfreight? Perhaps ask the agent in the UK who there handling agent is in Spain.

No, I'm sending by boat from Asia. The company has no handling agent in Malaga unfortunately.

Maybe I am missing something but if you are sending it by boat is it not more likely to end up in the port rather than the airport?

If you search for 'customs broker Malaga' there will be several results.

So I suggest you contact port authority of malaga not airport.

Wow, sorry about that. I meant at Malaga port but had a brainfart and wrote airport by mistake. So my question is: anyone know/can recommend any gestor/company to clear a shipment at Malaga port? So far all companies I've contacted has told me they don't want to deal with private persons.

Not you missing something, but I. I meant Malaga port, not airport. Sorry.

I've used this company in the past with no problems at all. It wasn't Malaga though so can't speak locally. But Europe wide they are good.

Thanks. They gave a more competent impression than anyone else I talked to and would be who I'd chose to use if I had gone ahead.

In the end I had to abandon the idea though, as I'd end up paying at least t 10 times as much in shipping and fees as I paid for the bed itself several years ago, and that's only the fees I'm certain I'd incur. A pity, as the bed is really solid, yet disassembles easy, and is beautiful and made to order as I wanted it. Made by what must have been a real craftsman.
