"Gibraltar Bridge"
"Gibraltar Bridge"
I was just reading about the proposed Gibraltar bridge on the discovery channel web site. I was wondering what people opinion was on this. Good or bad idea?

EVEN WORSE!
Oh thats even worse then! That would increase the flow of moroccan and african immigrants into the country, lets face it the situation is bad enough as it is. And quite frankly I wouldnt bother going in that direction so dont waste the money, whos providing funding?

I know you are trying your best to be liberal, lovey dovey and a perfect nice person. BUT there is a difference between moving to a country and bringing money to it and moving to a country to take money from it. And my point isnt that im against immigrants im just saying lets not have more of them coming in because the spanish dont like it (personally i dont really care). And im not english I was born here.

well you can cut out the lovey dovey - i don't think i'm being particularly liberal, immigration is a fact of life, it has always gone on, it just seems that some are deemed to be 'good' immigrants and others not, not all english people bring money to the coast some come looking for work and i don't see anything wrong with that either, my parents left southern spain in the 50s looking for work in london and made a life there, the movement of people is a generally a good thing

Sorry Syd, correct me if I'm wrong. I know that Rampton is one of the UK Special Hospitals which holds some of the criminally insane, but isn't it the inadequate and retarded, who are held there and the psychotic and personality disordered who are held in the other institutions such as Broadmoor?Syd Barrett wrote:Yeah, with watchtowers, and machine guns and stuff!daneinspain wrote:Surely a giant wall is a better idea
