Euros or Pounds??

Euros or Pounds??

The other day I Went to pay with my English credit card at the supermarket and they gave me the option of paying in pounds or euros.What should I do??? :shock: Thanks

I read something about this in the English press a few weeks ago but can't remember the details. They did say it was a rip off ¡Que sorpresa! Many holidaymakers hadn't even been given the option and the exchange rate was the one the business had fixed for themselves. Suppose you would have to check their exchange rate at the supermarket.

I was given this option at a Banca Marche ATM and without thinking took the sterling option, there was no exchange rate on my statement but I think I paid about £11 extra.

I won't fall for that twice!!
