figs or Pan de Higos

Postby patchdog » Wed Oct 21, 2009 11:24 am

My friend the local fruit shop owner has made lots of PAN DE HIGOS. Which are traditional sort of fig cakes, made from figs, almonds and anis. These are eaten arround christmas time. Anyone want to try some. He also has figs covered in flour. They are all made locally and have no chemical content.

It's fabulous with cheese!

I was watching a TV programme at the weekend about health and they said a few figs had as much calcium as a glass of milk.

Please do not go on about figs...I'm a recovering Figolic....

It isn't that long ago that we used the last tin of figs as referred to in my earlier post 'My wife has bought a job lot of tinned figs'.....I'm shaking all over just thinking about it...
