Another good experience.....

Postby Trooperman » Wed Sep 05, 2018 5:01 pm

Had an eye problem.........booked local doctor appointment at 12.15 pm for 1pm consultation......."You'll have to go to Antequera Urgencia with this bit of paper". ..........drove the 20mins...straight in to reception....more paper (of course)....waited 2 mins for triaje nurse who handed me over to a colleague to take me to opthalmlology department... .saw specialist immediately who diagnosed problem...added an antibiotic to my tarjeta....
..and at 2pm I was having a bite to eat in their cafeteria. Job done.

Only annoying bit was I had to wait for a pharmacy to open..... :lolno:

How efficient was all that eh?

The only doubting observation I have is that there were a lot of triage trolleys lying around and quite a few bored looking staff in A&E as if waiting for a train/motorway/aircraft crash.
That can't be sustainable ......can it?

We have had several Aand E experiences this year alone. Last was on Monday.

It is always most efficient and clean. I agree there seems to be plenty of staff. Yes there is waiting but they tell you why and what is happening e.g. waiting for blood test results.

We had a family member in observation ward ( one of several) at the lovely new Granada hospital. A decision is made on every patient at 11 p.m. and communicated to the waiting family outside. Ours was discharged with various prescriptions. No on site pharmacy open. The first two of the four all night pharmacies in Granada city were closed. It was 3 p.m. when we got home. So prescriptions process gets a thumbs down.
