Restaurant on way to Malaga airport please?

Postby princesspentium » Fri Aug 20, 2010 12:31 pm

Hi - we are 2 couples who have a problem. Have to be at airport on Sat 21st at 3pm & need to leave villa in Competa at 11am. Allowing extra time to negotiate dreadful slow traffic/jams etc around Malaga, we need to eat around midday. Does anyone know where we can get something to eat, maybe tapas, on way to airport, perhaps Torre del Mar or anywhwere else on coast road?

We need somewhere we can be in sight of our cars which will have all our luggage inside. (Daren't leave them out of sight as car was broken into & we were robbed of hand luggage, while at El Ingenio on the day we arrived, 2 weeks ago.)

Need a reply asap please. Thanks in anticipation.

Why don't you drive down the sea front road in Torre and look for somewhere to park and eat where you can still see your car. The seafront is loaded with chiringuitos and restaurants ... it's not usually a problem but with all the holidaymakers it may prove a bit more difficult but still achievable, especially if you go more towards the Caleta side of Torre. Good luck and hope you enjoyed Competa

There's always the Makro restaurant just before you get to the airport - they do snacks or bigger meals, and the car park is right outside. Pretty good value

I would agree with Makro - the perfect spot.

If there's a major accident and the approach road is closed you can almost walk to the airport!

Makro - definitely the best solution IMHO.
