I have been aware for a long time , that supermarkets have different price structures everywhere, not just in Spain..I think that it depends on regional demand and when the supply is delivered from local sources., and if competition is high in an area, they will use some products as 'loss leaders' and sell at low prices. Most people don't notice slight price differences, so the supermarkets can get away with making up losses by marking up prices on other products.
For curiousity I tapped in 2 postcodes on Mercadona website one here and one inland, both had the same prices. Suppose bread/fish could vary as they will not use the same baker for everywhere. Depends where you shop on the coast too Hipercor, being the most expensive (this is sometimes offset by better quality/freshness etc.). Smaller shops inland are more expensive (like the old corner shops in the UK) and they sell stuff until it can almost walk out of the shop itself! Many say Alcampo is expensive but whenever I have been its full of spanish doing massive shops!
The cheapest place I think for everything, is Fuengirola, lots of competition maybe.
