Static mobile home for holidays

Postby yorkshirelass » Tue Jan 19, 2016 2:29 pm

We are thinking of buying a mobile home and finding somewhere to site it.The area we are interested in would be near Torre del Mar or somewhere nearby. We don't really want to be on a campsite full of holidaymakers but would prefer somewhere quieter. We have priced several camps and they all seem to have very expensive site fees, was wondering if anybody knew of anywhere.I know there is one near vinuela-have tried sending an email but had no reply.

A friend was on Cabopino (east Marbella) and the fees were very expensive. When they tried to sell the home there was all sorts of rules in the contract that prevented an easy sale. READ the small print.

We have looked at doing a similar thing in the UK but the fees are just too much. In the end (and considering the amount of time we could use it each year) we came to the conclusion that we can use the money we would have spent buying a mobile home and the site fees on renting a cottage for our stays there. If you are going to spend 6 months in it or more then maybe it would be worth it if you can find a suitable site.

Worst idea in the world, just go and buy a one bed fixer upper in a village close by, much cheaper !
