Hi
I would be very grateful for any advice on driving to Alhaurin el Grande with two small dogs from the UK. The best routes, and cheapest time to go and places to stay that are dog friendly would be really helpful.
Many thanks for your help

Hi Kizzicoolcat,
Welcome to The Forum.............
Some info from a Roadie...........
Brittany Ferries Portsmouth/Plymouth (depends on where you live in that green and pleasant land ) to Spain.........the cheaper one..........
http://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/economie
This Ferry is popular , I've only managed to Book on it once, then had to move onto the more expensive sailing due to a date change at my end.
Zanuck (A.com Member)has travelled on it and rates it OK.
My route..........A-67 -> A-231 Burgos -> A-1 (E-5) to Madrid
M-50 round Madrid to R-4 (Toll) or A-4 (E-5) south depending on time of day.
Down to Córdoba then A-45 down to your area.
Stop off at Lerma http://www.hotelalisa.com/lerma%28i%29.html
Dog friendly, can have them in your room or in the Secure Garage.......I opt for the Garage, as I once slept with my three Huskies.........
Only stop at Service Stations you can see from the Motorway (there are loads) as some are on Industrial estates down unlit roads ........
If you use the Search Tab..........up right hand side under Home / Blog
Put dog friendly in Key words and zanuck in Author you will get a list of Posts and info on Hotels.

All my best learning experiences start with a problem I need to solve.
