Tools in Martos

Postby Stalvik » Sat Dec 02, 2017 4:49 pm

Hi everyone
Me and my husband just bought a house in Martos and there is quite a lot of stuff to fix up both inside and in the back yard. I was wondering if anyone here lives in or close to Martos and has tools that we could borrow/buy. We are looking for stuff like garden tools (cutters, rakes etc) as well as tile cutter, and other tools for fixing walls and ceilings inside.
Also, it would be fun to meet up for a drink and get some inside tips about the city. We're not moving there full time but will be there all of January to begin with. (We're 39 and 45 by the way, no kids)
Thanks!

PM me your phone number. I have friends who have recently moved permanently into their home in Martos which they bought several years ago.

As for tools. Best to visit a Ferreteria. They are not that expensive.

Try the big market near the airport. Every Sunday. Very cheap but get there early for the bargains and the best stuff.

The airport is a four hour rounds trip. I'm sure there are markets nearer!

Hi,
From what I've seen from the Markets in this area (and I've been to most  )....Provincia de Jaén........... they are Cloths, shoes and Veg stalls.........

Best bet for Tools .........Ferretería and Agri Stores on the Polígonos

FYI:: From Martos to Málaga airport is a good 5 - 6 hr round trip...............

Off subject, I know, but I hate to be corrected on a journey I have done many times and always managed it in under 2 hours. 1 hour 50 minutes, I think, was my best time!

Thank you guys! I guess we'll have to go to Malaga anyway to get stuff at ikea so will check out the market. Do they also sell furniture? Ideally I'd like to get cheap second hand stuff but I haven't had much luck finding sites for this online in Spain. (Could be because of my nonexistent Spanish).
Cheers

Not sure if Ikea is open on a Sunday all year. The market is very close to Ikea so a bonus to do both on same trip i guess.

Hi gus,
We have sorted out "the route"..........also my "sat nav" located in the passenger seat always turns into the Coffee stop at the 92Km... :D
