Postby dorisi » Wed Jun 29, 2016 4:08 pm

Has anyone built one of these?

Any suggestions re sourcing in the Baza area:

Waterproof lining membrane
Solar pump
Water skimmer
Aquatic water filtering plants
Digger hire
Builders merchant for sand, gravel, railway sleepers/concrete blocks, boulders

Any advice very welcome.
Thank you

The way I understand it is the size of the reclaimation area has to be proportional to the water use. If you use the pool every day then you need to have a much bigger area for filtration than if you only use it once a week. I would definately over-size it and add a waterfall or something to keep the water moving constantly, the freaking mosquitos drive me crazy. The plants should be either under the water line or over the water line, try to avoid plants that have leaves close to the water. Add at least one or two air bubblers in the pool section.
