Estufa pellets

Postby robertinspain » Mon Apr 29, 2019 5:18 pm

I have been having problems with the ignition on my Estufa in that it would take maybe 3 times to actually get ignited. I was told by a pellet supplier that some pellets have a higher humidity and the Estufa sensor detects this and will not ignite the first time as the pellets are damp but ignites on the second or third attempt as the pellets have become drier. I have located pellets that do work first time but they are more expensive. Any advice please.

Never had a problem with my pellet burner.
The pellet sacks have the humidity printed on them.
I usually use whatever is the cheapest.
My usual ones state less than or equal to 10% humidity. Got from Bricomart at less than €3.50 a bag.
The last ones I bought, because Bricomart had sold out was about €5 a bag and state 5.4% humidity.

Got them at Leroy Merlin.
They used to sell ones at similar price to Bricomart but when both of them had run out Leroy Merlin then sold more expensive ones.
