Hi all. We live in a finca in the campo just outside Colmenar. We have some land with almonds, olives, figs and small number of fruit trees. But we have also inherited some well established campo bushes. Small bushes can be dug up but these are too established to do that and some near water pipes. Does anyone have any good successful suggestions on how to get rid of them? Would Roundup tree and root killer do the job (I don't generally like chemical methods but I'm prepared to make exceptions occasionally).
Many thanks in anticipation of any help given.

Hire a JCB if the access is suitable, think of a few other jobs while you have him!

Re: Campo bush eradication
Cut them down to the ground and drill holes in what is left. Inject some Roundup and that should deal with them. If you can’t cut then down just spray them. Roundup is a controlled substance and only available in small quantities unless you have a licence. There is a place in Torrox Costa who will sell you 5 litres with no questions asked.
The JCB approach is the easiest but more expensive.
