I used to use GSP Power Publisher, but it is no longer made, so I am trying Microsoft Publisher that came with Windows 7. I now find that Publisher 7 is no longer supported, and I'm getting cross as I can't see how to do things & can't get online help !
So I have turned my attention to OpenOffice, and it seems that their Writer programme might be the answer.
Has anyone used this, and if so, how did you find it ?
I should add that I am creating a 'book' which is some 60 pages long with images........
anyone use OpenOffice for creating booklets ?

Hi chrissiehope,
Yes OpenOffice will be ok for you.........my preference is for the off shoot LibreOffice as it has a more active Development support.

Just quickly before I download - is it standalone, or will I have to download stuff I don't need ?
Edit - is my pc x86_64 or x86 ? and which version should I get ?
another edit (I should have thought this thro !) I think the pc is the _64 option - I've just found it in 'System'
