Now in it's 20th edition I see. How often is it revised? Is there a new edition due? Date?

Thanks.
Brian.

Hi Rafiki,

Enrique: :) That's what we use forums and internet for isn't it?

Trigger: Thanks for the info. Hadn't realised Amazon published that information.

FROM DAVID SEARL

"You and the Law in Spain" is revised every year. I try to have it ready for May publication, but it is, as noted, almost always June before I make it. This 20th edition is the 2009-2010 edition and will be good for the next year or so.

Thanks for your interest, David Searl

David, taking into account the way laws change here so frequently, I think you could revise your book every 6 months and still not be completely up to date  you could probably make a different edition for each town too, not counting all the provinces.

Sometimes, I think OK, I am up to speed and I understand most things I need to know, but then something else changes and hey ho, I'm lost again. I am one of the last immigrants still bearing an up to date plastic residencia card and I love my little card. It still works when I need it.
Sometimes, I can't find the new office to upgrade paper work for a scooter, the Endesa office has moved, that post office has closed temporarily, I can't tax the car because that office has moved again twice this year, this law is no longer relevant and here is a new one for traffico, so on and so on. As SL says, it can be very confusing. Don't start on getting married - the law changed a week before the ceremony.

My last really funny one was when I went to find a local hospital and it wasn't until we walked to the counter that we realised it was the new local police station. Even the duty policemen found it comical
I think your book has probable longevity
