HOW DO YOU CANCEL A SPANISH WILL?

Postby Bongtrees » Mon Oct 05, 2009 12:01 pm

Does anyone know how to cancel a Spanish will, is it just a trip to the Notary?

Are questions asked etc etc

If you just cancel a will that implies that you will be without one.
Normally wills are canceled with the making of a new one due to new circumstances.
'New circumstances' usually covers all questions.

FROM DAVID SEARL

FOR BONGTREES

Yes, it is just a trip to the Notary where you made the will. You do not need to give any reason. Note Lavanda's post. You may wish to make a new will or be intestate and your estate subject to Spanish law of distribution. The Notary must cancel the registration of the will in the national Registry of Wills.

Good Luck with it, David Searl
