Hi all can someone shed some light on this for me .
We live in Malaga Provence in campo and I was sort of aware that you couldn't have fires after the start of may I thought it was ( even though neighbours have them whenever)
But one neighbour told me that this even means barbeques too.
Well that's crazy surely as this is the time you want a barbeque in the summer, l can understand if you were in the middle of a field with a throw away barbecue but mine is a massive brick built one with large chimney I the middle of my property, surely this is ok to use .....????????
Look forward to your thoughts and responses

Fires, NO NO NO.
Barbecues you can have whenever you like, as it's completely different to those campo loonies who light up several trees worth of branches on a Sunday morning in amongst their olive groves. They ought to be castrated!

It worked when I posted it, but it was proving a bit difficult then. I suspect they have an intermittent problem. Try again later.

Up here in Murcia I noted that there were application forms for barbeques in the Ayuntamiento. Maybe these were for doing one on the beach, as in town they just seem to set up a little bbq on the pavement!

Habits of the "campo loonies" are changing. Around us the prunings are minced up by a fairly powerful machine and tractor. Fires are much rarer. A neighbour was fined 600 euros a couple of years back for a late in the season fire by two Seprona guys on scramblers. Great job.ashtondav wrote:Fires, NO NO NO.
