Phoning a tax office - help needed

Postby chrissiehope » Thu Jun 08, 2017 12:05 pm

Hi, I've just tried to call (from UK !) the tax office in Atequera, but I really struggled to follow all the various options & phone numbers that were rattled out ! Is there anyone who understands fairly rapid Spanish who would be prepared to call the number & write down the options & numbers for me ?

Once I'm through to the right dept, hopefully there will be someone whose English is better than my Spanish ;-)

Hi Chrissie,
Office hours 9am - 2pm

901 223 344........ to make an appointment to deal with Tax

901 200 345............ help with business

901 335 533 .........any other

I would go for the "any other" as you're not in Spain and can't turn up for an appointment.

Any other Members want to have a go and get the info..............

Using Skype and calling from UK costs incurred 25p ......... :D

Thanks Enrique - did you hear the other options - I think there were 7 of them ? The number I gave you was a 'normal no. - the 3 you heard are, I think, all premium rate ones ?

That's odd - there were certainly the three alternative numbers to dial, but after that there was a 'menu'" for this query press 1, for another press2" etc up to 7 different ones. I'm very confused now !

I'm trying to find out how much it costs to call Spain on the phone plan I'm on, but I'm pretty sure those three numbers ain't going to be cheap :-(

Hi Chrissie,
May be the "menu" is only on during Office hours, we phoned after they had closed, we recorded the info and I've played it again and it finished after the last number I Posted.
Probably as there would be no one to answer the number menu..........

Having just checked with my phone provider I find that to call Spain from UK is 40p per min, but to call a Spanish premium rate no is £1.10 per min !! I am a bit surprised, as I'm sure I have called in the past & it's only been 25p for the whole call :-)
I've never used Skype, but it's beginning to look more attractive - I can cope with 40ppm but definitely not the premium rate :-(
