Lidl open today

I thought supermarkets were only able to open on sundays July and August and a few in December.

Lidl Nerja is open today, the second Sunday in September. Is this usual?

Nerja has the status of a “tourist town” and gets more Sunday opening.

Supersol is aswell. I think maybe they are open until the schools start going back. Trying to remember previous years.

For the rich people I think "Iranzo" has been opening on Sunday too. For the VERY rich the Mini Mart at Burriana is open Sundays.
There is also a Mini Mart on Avda. America on Torrox Costa which is open 365 Spanish hours and only mornings Sunday and Fiesta.
Might be closed Christmas Day and Kings Day too.
