Having at last obtained an 'electronic certificate', I've been busy accessing various national, regional and local websites with it.
When I came to look at my details on the AEAT website, I discovered my 'Domicilio Fiscal' is shown as the office address of the abogada who handled the purchase of our property in Spain. We no longer use her services, so I was wondering whether I should change the address.
If I do, should I change it to the address of the Spanish property or to our address in the UK? We are not resident in Spain.
I think that I can make the change through the AEAT website, but I noticed something about a form 030? Do I have to complete one of those as well?
We don't have a fiscal representative in Spain, but I believe (hope) that I've now registered to receive any communications from the AEAT electronically in future via the Dirección Electrónica Habilitada (DEH) service.

Thanks Enrique. I'll await Beachcomber's advice before I try to make the change.

Re: AEAT - Change of Address
The new form 030 is a bit of a nightmare. Even the staff at AEAT find it difficult to navigate. I would suggest a visit to your local office with all of your documentation.
Re: AEAT - Change of Address
Thanks Beachcomber.
I found this link (https://www.agenciatributaria.es/AEAT.i ... cal_.shtml), which suggests that I can just notify the AEAT of a change of address via their website.
Does this mean that I don't need to submit a form 030?

And this link (https://www.agenciatributaria.es/AEAT.i ... scal.shtml) seems to explain how to make the address change.

Re: AEAT - Change of Address
You can certainly access form 030 and complete it online but, as I said, it is much more complicated than the old 030 and unless you get everything exactly right it will not validate.
Re: AEAT - Change of Address
Sorry Beachcomber, the point that I was trying to make is that it seems from the above links that you can simply change your Domicilio Fiscal online without having to make any other entries or changes (ie you don't need to submit a full form 030).
Or have I misunderstood what those web pages are saying?
Thanks

Re: AEAT - Change of Address
Hi steve_w,
I'd go for changing the Address for Notifications on line................having looked at my Data this morning.
My understanding was Form 030 was if you are Tax Resident in Spain and move House.
As you're in neither categories go for Changing Notifications Address.

Re: AEAT - Change of Address
Hi Enrique -
Having done a little more digging online, I've found the AEAT's definition of 'Domicilio Fiscal', which translates into English as follows: "The tax domicile is the location of the taxpayer in his relations with the Tax Administration. For individuals, the tax domicile will be the place where they have their habitual residence."
It also says: "Individuals may designate a preferred address for notification purposes provided that it is located in Spanish territory."
So, that suggests to me that I should enter my UK address for the Domicilio Fiscal and my Spanish address for Domicilio de Notificaciones.
However, I could be wrong about that. Maybe it's not such a good idea to register my UK address with the AEAT.
Does anybody have any further thoughts on this?
Thanks

Re: AEAT - Change of Address
Agree with enrique. Imo your fiscal address is where you are tax resident. We filed the 030 to decalre ourselves tax resident so imo dont use it unless you are and want to change your details etc
