Swimming Pool Safety Regulations for Communal Pools
Swimming Pool Safety Regulations for Communal Pools
I can find no references on internet searches to recent changes in Swimming Pool Safety Regulations in Spain/Andalusia yet our Urbanisation has decided that we NOW fall foul of rules and have subsequently closed the Pools until extensive works are carried out. Does anyone have any information please?
Re: Swimming Pool Safety Regulations for Communal Pools
Our pool is fenced in now and locked, for the last 6 years or so we have had to pay for a life guard during the summer months.

So is ours and so have we! So what's changed?

Re: Swimming Pool Safety Regulations for Communal Pools
Our pool was fenced off with gate access last year
This year there is talk of us having to install a lift, or other accessible means of access to avoid the stairs which lead to the pool. Apparently this is required for pools serving 20 or more apartments/homes.

Here is some info from a rapid google search
https://www.angloinfo.com/how-to/spain/ ... -pool-laws
Citizens Advice link
https://www.citizensadvice.org.es/faq/c ... ols-facts/
and this one - note the difference between private residences and communal pools, and how insurance can be affected

I suspect that your community has recently realised that they have to comply with the rules and regs, rather than that these have in any way changed recently.
