The Premier League on Amazon Prime.

Postby markwilding » Thu Jun 07, 2018 4:56 pm

Amazon Prime have got the rights to show about 20 premier league games from the season after next.
If they only charge £79 a year as they do now and show them in UHD, it might be worth subscribing.

Note the package is for all 10 games on two days, 10 games on the first round of midweek fixtures in December, and the other 10 on Boxing Day
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it

I reckon that the Boxing Day games will likely be at number of different times - 11:00, 13:00. 15:00, 17:00, and maybe even an evening game to maximise the audience and advertising, and the midweek games spread out on the Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with 18:00 and 20:00 kick-offs (much like the Champions and Europa Leagues next season) for the same reason...... And of course, no thought whatsoever for the poor souls attending the games in person........

Of course, they might increase the subscription but I think I read it’s possible to pay for a month at £7.99. That might be worth it to watch a few games over Christmas.

As you say, £7.99 is good value for one group of up to ten games, if Amazon will offer one month subscription. Somehow I think that they might require an annual subscription, but I hope that I am wrong......

Very clever by Amazon as it coincides with the time a lot of people will be doing their online Christmas shopping.

Good idea - subscribe to Amazon Prime early December for £7.99, free p&p for Christmas shopping, watch two lots of football, and cancel auto-renew before the month subscription is due early January....... Brilliant.......
