Over the past few years The Costa del Sol has become a major medical tourism destination. The best example of this is seen in the growth of cosmetic surgery clinics on the coast and especially in the Marbella area. There are now a number of high quality clinics based in luxurious settings and offering the kind of medical service one would come to expect in plush Marbella. If you are travelling for Medical treatment, or you live on the coast and don’t speak Spanish, this is a very important consideration. You will want to know that you are going to be understood.

Generally speaking cosmetic surgery in Spain is cheaper than in the United Kingdom, typically around 30%, with even higher savings in areas such as cosmetic and restorative dentistry. Some clinics offer a consultation in the UK prior to travel and this can be a good way of meeting your Surgeon and getting a confirmed price first.
