East Marbella Sierra districts - Los Altos de Marbella
Located in the area east of Marbella town centre and on the mountain side of the AP-7 tollway, the sprawling Los Altos de Marbella development is divided into a number of smaller estates with apartment blocks and individual villa plots.
The view from here is magnificent and the area is generally well-kept and quiet. Perhaps slightly soulless, it is a modern style and has all been constructed since 2000. There is plenty of room for further development in the years to come. The main negative here is possibly the total reliance on a car to go anywhere, and the distance you have to drive to get down to the coastal highway.
For access,you leave the coastal highway at Km. 185 to the west of Los Monteros and the Costa de Sol Hospital, and proceed up the Carril del General. Cross over the AP-7 tollway, pass the Club Hípico La Pesquera and drive through the Los Altos de Los Monteros welcome entrance.
