Getting to Vejer de la Frontera

Vejer de la Frontera

Vejer de la Frontera is located off the N-340 Costal road between the cities of Cádiz and Algeciras. It is at the south of the A-48 autovia south from Cadiz. Take the exit at kilometre 36 and follow the signs to the hill top town up the A-2229. There is a secondary entrance (also A-2229) up a narrow road from the N-340 a few km forther south at an area of roadside ventas / restaurants called La Barca de Vejer by the river Barbate.

Malaga Airport

If you are flying in to Malaga Airport you have two bus options.

Take an airport bus to Algeciras and change bus for Vejer. Consult the airport bus times from Malaga Airport to Algeciras and from Algeciras to Vejer below.

Take the airport bus or cercanias train from Malaga Airport to Malaga city Bus Station and then take the direct buses from Malaga City Bus station to Vejer.

If your plane arrives too late for the last bus to Algeciras, you would need to take the cercanias train or airport bus from Malaga Airport to the Malaga city Bus Station, and stay overnight in a hotel near the Malaga City Bus Station and then catch the direct bus in the morning.

It may be better to hire a car or take a airport transfer service
