Overlooking
the village is the restored castle, constructed by the Moors in
the 14th century and severely damaged by the French in the War of
Independence, and an adjacent hermitage, the Ermita de San Juan,
with Mudéjar doorways. This is a superb vantage point for
seeing the village and surrounding countryside.
On
the Plaza del Ayuntamiento is the parish church, the Iglesia de
Nuestra Señora de las Nieves, which has an interesting Gothic-style
altarpiece.
