Seville Province - Huévar del Aljarafe

Huevar del Aljarafe is town with plenty of history. It is located at the basin of the river Guadiamar and forms part of the Corredor Verde del Guadiamar – a protected natural area that connects Doñana with the Sierra Morena.

Archaeological artefacts found in the area show that the Romans and the Visigoths once inhabited Huevar del Aljarafe. Later, whilst control of the town was placed with the Arabs, the population considerably grew. The town actually gets its name from an Arab sheikh: Ali-Al-Huevar.
